I was a little bit surprised and miffed that the cut out Auld Lang Syne and substituted New York, New York on the Time Square coverage!

 

We didn't cut it out in Nashville. There was about 127k singing it here!!

MY dad always said ''it 's just another day, oh and year, not a big deal''. You wont find me at a new years eve party.....last one I went , I was fed so many drinks I thought the 30th was new years eve......I had 20 bucks, 2 dollar rum an cokes, and every other one was a freebie....oh and I spent the whole 20........that was way back in the mid eighty's. I was lucky to make it home to say the least.

 

The first year we were married, we were living in Joisey and came home for NewYears and stayed at my in laws. I ...uh...started celebrating in the afternoon. We went out with friends to a nightclub for a party that night... Wife had to take me home at 11 o'clock to her parents. Made a great impression.....

 

Happy New Years putzs. Nothin special here, work with a hangover just doesn't cut it anymore. 3 Guiness, dinner, sleep. Ain't gettin old fun?

 

Ain't that the truth....hangover, even without w*rk, doesn't cut it for me. Been there and done that too many times and didn't even get a t shirt. Leave it for the young ones.

 

Don't mind hangovers too bad, if I don't have to work and can sleep it off. They're definently harder to get through now, than when I was in my 20s though. Tis friday for me though, might pop the top on some pale ale I got waiting on me tonight.
