Another Christmas finished. We are the hosts, so the before and after is a lot of w#rk. Regardless of that, we had a fine time with good food and good company.
Went to a watch repair kiosk with 3 watches....the seiko is 200 bucks for a new movement, the swiss is 175.00. And the cheap divers watch was 20 bucks for a band and battery......oh well.....them other ones will wait on a shelf 'til I have that kind of money to blow......I still have 3 watches that are in good order.
right now I'm trying to attach a cargo net with speed hooks.......speed hooks that I may need to fabricate.
Well first sub freezing ride went well. No cold spots.
Important thing is, no wet spots on that motor. Might be a while yet before i feel like doing any bike fixing, but the cold winter's just getting started here, plenty of time later.
Sco - glad to hear things are going well, haven't seen you here much lately.
Skidder - Palm Springs must be a nice break in the weather this time of year. I have an invitation to Mexico coming up soon, but think I'll pass this year, don't want to go down there when my health is less than optimum. After the first couple days, walking the beaches kinda loses it's impact, anyway. Long trip, too, no airports where I go, have to drive in from Tuscon.
Rocket - I gave up watches a long time ago, just cell phone now. Watches can be bad news for mechanics, too, burnt a dime sized patch of skin once when I got into something electrically hot with a watch once. Never got into wearing rings, either, seen a few mechanics missing part of their ring finger...
Hey, I knew there was something about you I liked....anybody with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi is OK in my book. Got 3 of 'em. (and a really good vacuum).
