Hey Mark, saw that IPB post. I'd bet my 89 still has the original with 120K+ on it now. Been wondering if I should replace it while the primary is off; those old American bearings were good ones, but that's a lot of miles. And would hate to have an old seal leak after doing all that other work... You allowed to say where the bearing is made in your kit? Do you know if there are any fitment issues with an S&S motor? I'd think the output shaft would have to be the same since it still uses the same Harley parts from the inner primary on out.

Can't hurt to change it. They are an NSK bearing the box says Germany and the bearing just says NSK and the part number.Very few bearings still being made in this country. Our main bearings for the EVO's and early TC's are from ***,sometimes they say Germany, sometimes Japan and sometimes Korea. It's a crap shoot anymore kinda sad but it is what it is.

Checkin' in....back from Cabela's, even stopped at a Harley Dealer. Called my wife on the way back and said " I have to teach you how to shop, I saved over $400 !" She says " Wow! what did you buy?" I answered " NOTHING...didn't buy a jacket I liked...that's how you save money!!!!.. Buahahahha....did get two free harley pencils from the dealer.

Do they have erasers? As much as Harley screws up I would hope so.
