I'd a slept in, but a bloody barking dog woke me before 9am.

Got the new Christmas present for everbody all dialed in yesterday. 70" of more detail than ya want sometimes. Get a closeup with 2' between eyes and mouth, and see every zit and missed beard stubble. Some of them purty actresses ain't so purty that close up. I thought I wus getting hi def on Netflix streaming, but it wasn't even close to what I'm getting on this one. Tried a few standard dvds, most look more detailed than on the little 53" I had, but a few look awful. Odd. Avatar on blu-ray is Awesome. Wanted the Sony 90" 4K, but unfortunately my Visa doesn't go that high...

Moldie...70" Niiiice !!! I feel sooo inadequate with a 50", but that's the biggest I can fit into the built in cabinet in the family room. Can fit a biiig one in the living room, but I don't watch TV in there

Nice thing about these big new ones, can hang em on a wall. Haven't got the do-hicky to put it on the wall yet, but going to, the shelf I set it on is a bit too high. Doesn't weigh much compared to the old ones. Had a 36" tube tv I gave my daughter to use in college when I got the 53", was a monster to carry up in her dorm with a friend helping, weighed a lot more than the 70. The 53" is the last of the Pioneer crt projection widescreens in a one piece cabinet. I don't think my back would even handle one end of it. I brought the 70 home and put it on the shelf (about 4 ft high) by myself, wasn't a problem for me. With the stand, weighs a little less than 70 lbs. I'll need help for the wall mount, though, too awkward to handle solo for that.

That'd be good, keep the peddlers out and no reflections on the tv screen.

Our 48" is mounted on the wall between the front door and the door and the picture window. It barely clears the door and covers part of the window, we can see it from the dining room so it's big enough. Have TV's in every other room in the house but the bathroom and the kitchen. Plus a 6 inch portable, did I ever mention the OL likes to shop.

Only one tv for me. I like to watch while I'm comfortable, it's quiet, and no bright lights, so it's the recliner in the living room or not at all. The ex had to have one in the kitchen and the bedroom; I don't like having them in bedrooms. Most of my neighbors have one in the garage, but I wouldn't want one in there - unless I had one of those garages with some nice recliners and a bar in them, air conditioned and heated. Then I'd probably spend more time out there than in the house.
