Posers' Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VI
Lucky me. New stator went in fine. Added .275 in shims. Confirmed no contact with some prussian blue on the inside of the rotor and a few rotations. Comp ramps already had galling. No surprise there. Set chain at 5/8 play and buttoned her up. Was worried regulator might have been bad. Nope. 14v at idle. Back on the road.

Bit of rain here, more like mist. Good day to continue tearing a bike apart. One of these days I gotta put one back together... just kidding, 4 of em can wobble down the road. And the trail bike has all it's pieces together, but starter quit. Why the bad word did they ever ditch kick starters?
'cause as motors got bigger and bigger, it'd be like trying to kick start a small car.
That's what compression releases are for. If it has a carb and a Dyna S ignition you can kick it.
But, what if it has fuel injection, like essentially every current engine?
