Checkin' in.
Given your track record, try not to drip paint in your eyes while doing the ceiling.
Gonna return to the grind today. She wants me to paint and I hate painting. At first I thought "What the hell is this? Punishment for hurting myself!" and then did some more thinking on it and decided that maybe she is just keeping me away from saws and knives and all things sharp. Kinda hard to cut myself with a roller

Some paint and a few bucks on suspension parts, mebbe a seat if that one ain't purfect, be like a new bike (mebbe better) for way less bucks. Get plenty of miles on it, drop in an S&S, really feel like a new bike, and still bucks ahead.
Third day this week I'm burpi.g and tasting bourbon. If I keep this up, I'll be able to justify higher quality alcohol.
Lucky me. New stator went in fine. Added .275 in shims. Confirmed no contact with some prussian blue on the inside of the rotor and a few rotations. Comp ramps already had galling. No surprise there. Set chain at 5/8 play and buttoned her up. Was worried regulator might have been bad. Nope. 14v at idle. Back on the road.
Gotta get the good stuff!
It was really cheap, but not that bad at all. I had never had Four Roses before. Worth a shot if any of you are on a budget.
