No more ash trees in the back yard. Yesterday's just quietly kinda settled on it's big branches; today's hit hard, busted a bunch of limbs and made a good thump on the ground. Woulda had the daughter take a video, but I was home alone at the time. Mower pulled it over with the first cut, I guessed good this time. Had about 6 false starts yesterday. That ash is way harder to cut than evergreens and cottonwoods, pretty much finished the older chain, reached the end of it's adjustment and eventually came off the guide when I kept using it loose. Got my money's worth outta that one. Ain't used to so much hand work, hands got too sore to do the last cottonwood; it's gonna be the tallest one to cut.

 

Night shift checkin in. Could be an interesting night... have 4 slots. No calling overtime with both units down.

 

Looks like everyone slept in....Doc would not stand for this.
