Posers' Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VI
Wasn't talkin' about the city...
Solved my leaf rakin' problem yesterday. trimmers came and whacked about 8' off the tree in the back..only about 100 leaves left.

Won't get any more leaves off this tree. Now I can look forward to chopping it up. Was an ash, sure dulled the chain saw by the time it went down. You can laugh all you want at how it was tied off, but it curved the wrong way, and I didn't want it smashing anything. Hit the ground just where I wanted it.
Yep, pulled it over with a riding mower. Was kinda fun at one point, jerked it over a bit, and it would drag me back again. That tractor pulled hard enough to put a good twang on the strap and rope.
And then finally it gave up fighting me.
Ain't gonna steal water from the garden any more.
That ain't much wood left to hold a 44' ash tree that was leaninging pretty good by then.

That wus just the first ash, got anudder 'bout the same size, a way taller cottonwood, and a blue spruce that's something over 30' that'll hit something in about every direction - and two of the somethings are houses. I want em down before snow, but I gotta do some serious chain sharpening first. Or get a couple new chains, these have been sharpened a few times now. One of em needs a new bar, too.
