Cutting a lot of wood is an ***-kicking event. Fortunately, I have a 27-ton gas splitter. Still, you gotta pick that wood up a number of times before becomes ash.

I have 2 huge black oaks to drop this fall. One will be fairly easy to get the wood out. The other one is gonna be a mother.
