OH and I put a 8" smoked windshield on that I bought through a link on this site. I think it was like $26 or $30 for it.

I'm not into stock. that being said, the only reason I've modded mine is after laying it down, I figured it was time. Planning on a gear conversion/cam swap this winter. I'll save the big bore kit for later... honestly, I'm happy with the stock 88tc, but them cam tensioners gotta go.

You are lucky enough to be mechanically inclined and can do it for yourself. I know how an engine works, but lack the complete knowledge and confidence to get into mine.

There aint that much to them. They been making them since 1903, pretty much the same way! You can do it, I know you can, you built cars for 30 years, so there ya go!

I've never opened up a bike before. Have a local Indy who doesn't mind you drinking beer/watching him work. This time I'll pay, but only because I get a lesson along with the work. Eventually I'll get to where I can do it myself. It's more fear than anything. I figure if I can tear down/rebuild a V8.... a V-Twin should be easy.

Yeah. That was April at the top of Mount Lemmon in Tucson. Rode up like that. Didn't need a jacket.

I worked in the paint shop for most of those years.
