I shudda got on the puter at 3:30am when I got up to pee. Oughta ad "Open all Hours" to the tagline for the coffeehouse.

Got the kid again today, he's been in a real bad mood lately, doesn't want to do anything anyone suggests. Was gonna take him out to lunch with the gf, but he got pissy at the suggestion, so I told her I just don't wanna deal with him. Got a long break coming up, the other side of the family deals with him from tomorrow through next Monday. September, he starts school, and no more babysitting, only here when Mommy is. Like the little guy, but I'm looking forward to some time off.

 

Mikee, I'm glad Doc and I didn't crash riding around with you!!

I won $28 this week in the Lotto. Does that count?

Visitation this evening, service and burial tomorrow. Gonna be a long couple of days around a whole lot of people I don't know. I'll be the guy over in the corner if you are looking for me.

 

There's some folks around here wonder how I can be buddies with the ex's man friend, but she woulda gone bankrupt without him, and in Minnysota when the financially weaker spouse goes to court for more money, here's how that werks:

strong spouse - $2000 month
weak spouse - $1000 month
fair settlement - strong spouse gives weak spouse $1200 month

Then they wonder why some men quit their jobs and go live in a travel trailer in the Ozarks...

Friend of mine had to give her 60% of his income - forever. When a woman doesn't work and has all that time for shopping, they need more money than a working man...

Doesn't amaze me, they don't even bother trimming trees limbs from power lines around here, strong winds and the power goes out. Roads in this country are trillions behind in upkeep. Bridges are even worse. There are water lines dating back over 100 years, longer for sewers, and we have a higher rate of railroad accidents than most third world countries. Bet your plant is on the list for upgrading, though, to nice, clean oil, the best kind of powerplant - just ask the oil companies, they'll confirm that...

Do you tell em to put that little cutout on one side of the inner race of sealed bearings away from the weather (when that applies)? Amazing how many ruined bearings I changed on jets because someone put the bearings in with that cutout facing the pressure washer... Even new ones from the factory were installed that way sometimes. Makes a big difference how long some of them last.

Hmm, I don't hear nuttin. Better go check on the little guy.
