Boy this year just keeps getting weirder. It's flooding in Detroit after a deluge rain. Cars and trucks floating on the freeways? I'm very lucky that I built in a new sub with huge drainage ponds, normally nearly dry with just some cattails and rabbits now filled to the brim. The ids basement is flooded, mine is wet in only one place.... If it rains tomorrow I'm building an Ark. I sure hope the President keeps our resources here and to hell with spending our tax dollars overseas. The mayor is asking for the National Guard I hear. The Coast Guard will be busy as usual. Be nice if they were here guarding our coasts instead of rescuing Iranian fishermen. As usual there will be precious few dollars to deal with the damage but Helliburton will be AWASH with our taxdollars....And so it goes...

 

Ssssssssup Pozearz?

 

Had a good riding weekend. Got about 600kms (350 miles) in. Kept gas receipts so that I could check for mileage. Figured it out to a Canadian gallon (4.5 litres per imperial gallon as opposed to 3.8 per US gallon) and got roughly 51 mpg (roughly 46 mpg US gallon). I can live with that.

 

The only thing that I am concerned about is that when in 6th gear and holding the throttle wide open doing around 140kph it seems as if it is flooding itself. Like it is getting more gas than it can burn. Roll back a little on the throttle and it gives itself a little kick and holds steady? Any ideas?

 

Yeah, how fast is 140 in mph? You running a carb? I gots ideas coming out the wa-zoo !!
