Lived in AZ 12 years, can't say I liked living there, heat like that is just miserable to me. But for a cool time of year tour, AZ is awesome. Be way out of your way, but the most challenging road I've been on there is the dirt portion of the Apache Trail west of Phoenix. Would be about all first gear on a Harley (most vehicles), and if they ever pave it, it'll still be mostly first gear. Might kiss your air cooled Harley engine goodbye on a 110+ day...
A couple more days of the crowded house. The two older Ggirls, 14 and 12 (or 13), are great. No whining about boredom or anything. Baby Kalee is not a loud baby, so that is cool, also. I love seeing them and all, but I'll enjoy the peace and quiet when they go home. Yep, I sound like a grumpy old feller!

House started getting warm and humid yesterday evening, daughter had opened her window to air the room out - all them girl smells accumulate in there. Jeesh, just open the door and turn the fan on...
Both the kids, Mom & son, leave doors open. If I ain't in it, don't like to have the garage door open; one day found the kid and some friends with a bunch of my tools out in the street, including my small sledge hammer they were powdering chalk with (why?). Wunder what a neighbor parent would say if their little girl smashed a finger or two with my sledge hammer...

Wus nice & cool this morning, got the mower & trailer out and surprisingly the kid helped me pile branches in it to carry up outta the gulley. 5 or 6 trips and all the loose stuf is in the piles waiting for the chipper. Too bad I'm gonna make more mess. By 11am it wus gettin real humid again, makes yard werk kinda misery for me.
