Nuttin'...drinkin' coffee and tryin' to figure out why the water doesn't fall off the earth in the South Pole.

 

Uhh..mmm.. because its ice... and its stuck dere....

 

Hmmm...kinda makes sense. Ok...so if it's water in a non frozen ocean, why doesn't it fly off with the earth spinning? (I think it's after effects of the vertigo)

Antarctica is not a single land mass. It is a group of large islands, one of which is probably big enough to warrant being called a continent. These islands are of course connected together by massive ice sheets, but this has not always been the case. Only about 12,000 years ago the ice didn't exist, and you could have sailed between the islands if you'd been around - maybe people did, there's a thought!
As the south magnetic pole moves around, it may at times be below the ice sheet rather than below actual land! The geographic south pole does lie on land.

 

Don't go confusing the discussion with FACTS!

I think that vertigo messed up somethingin my brain....was trying to decide ,this afternoon, between takin' a nap and trimmin' the hedges....and I trimmed the hedges. I think I should be worried...

 

Hedges are a poor mans reality to keeping busy!

 

I always chose the nap!
