Checkin' in...bushes all trimmed around 2 sides and front of house, wife was actually a big help in cleanup... Filled 8 large leaf bags. Bought the battery Ryobi trimmer, nice small trimmer, well balanced but didn't cut for sh*t! oscillates at half the speed of corded one and skins the cuutings and leaves those white things stickin' up. Goin' back. Only 130 ' of hedges left to trim...but not today. that's all I got.

Got back from some shopping, even the metric bike shops don't carry metric tubing, wth? 1/4" werks, just darn tight. It's amazing how the number of stupid and inconsiderate drivers are increasing around here. Ran across a new stupid today, guy pulled across a store parking lot entry and sat there talking to someone blocking all traffic. For a few minutes. Unbelievable.

Saw a couple diesel pickups, jacked up, kinda unusual in these parts, and both had a single fat pipe sticking up right in the center just behind the cab. Couple times they belched a cloud of black smoke, heard of that, hadn't seen it before, guys going around smoking traffic around them. Seems kinda stupid to me.

think outside the box, metric tubing can be had at most hardware stores, even the mom an pop ones especially , most of my parts came from the tru-value , for the bimmer.....and ya know going in that stuff is all metric.

Would you believe the local Napa didn't have standard 1/4" either? Got closest American sizes at Ace hardware. Minnysota has the worst shopping of anyplace I've ever lived (Florida to Washington, and a bunch in between), stores all carry the same cheap chit, and are usually out of at least one thing you went in for. Ace hardware does carry a good step up in quality from the big hardware chains, like Home Depot, when you need it. Phoenix was best, could get all kinds of professional quality tools, electrical stuff for home and vehicles, hot rod parts, appliances, plumbing, and housing materials that I've never seen here. And that was over 25 years ago... The internet has been a real blessing for me, get most of my non grocery stuff from other states, not because it's cheaper all the time, more like I just can't get it locally. This ain't a small metropolitan area, either.
