Posers' Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VI

Found some pics of my old Hawk unit in Key West. A Batt - 1/65 ADA. We watched for incoming from out Cuba way. Not sure when they were taken. Sometime in the mid '60's I think.
And the barracks for the unit on Boca Chica. (I didn't stay there long. About a week. Got the place on Big Coppitt.)
The TAC site was at the end of Flemming Key. When I was there the area between the road & the water was lined with pine trees & to the right of the road was a Marine ammo dump.
This was the set-up. As you can see the drawing is from '64 right around the time the installation was constructed.
And this is what it looks like now. A Special Forces UDT school.

My old boss did. He loved me. The new guy was one of them know-it-all I'm the boss & just do what I tell ya types. Me & him never did click. Idiot. But yeah, some folks don't realize what they got till it's gone.

The main road in this pic was fenced in & was the Marine ammo dump. The small road by the water on the left was what we used & at the far, upper in the pic, end was Fleming Key bridge.

If you notice down by the tac site the 9 dots that's where the special forces school was when I was there. Those guys were always swimmin in the water with knives in their teeth & blowin **** up. lol
