In California they hate American cars and love the Japanese stuff. They wouldn't have even ticketed the driver at all. They would have asked "How fast was that cow going when it backed up into you? In Detroit we look at things differently...

Sure ya can but there's lots of woods, and water at my course Cedar Glen. Fairways are deceptive, flat but LOTS of trees on the right and those durn dogleg lefts....Even a few raised greens...basically a small muni, 18 holes, but a bit of a challsnge.

I move slow, have learned not to make sudden grabs, bends, reaches, etc, and I'm real careful picking stuff up off the ground; after several painful lessons, I've learned if I don't want to throw the back out, I gotta baby the damned thing. Endurance is another matter; I do way better when it's on the dry side, but it was pretty humid today; this has been the wettest summer since I've been here, and I get out of breath a lot faster in high humidity. I have a 20 something hp lawn tractor, and a tilt/dump bed trailer for it, a real back saver for hauling big bundles of limbs or big pieces of tree, especially out of the gulley, where the biggest ones are. That combination has hauled a few tons of tree over the years, most of it from one big cottonwood that blew down into the gulley in a storm over 10 years ago, neighbor and I cut it up and hauled it out to the street in an afternoon; that'd take me days now in this humidity.
