This arm thing doesn't hurt unless I reach out with weight like throwing a shovel full of dirt. Gotta go easy with that. The bicep muscle being detached at the elbow will not heal. The only thing you can do as I understand it is to have surgery to reattach it which involves an incision above the bend in the elbow & go up in there with a hemostat, find the end of it & pull it down then fasten it to the bone. My left side is trash already so not sure what I want to do. See what the doc says a week from tuesday.
Think I'd get it fixed if possible, won't be fun going through life with a messed up arm. That bicep muscle would atrophy to practically nothing, too, leave you with a normal arm and a skinny one. Used to think I sure had a lot go wrong with me, but hell, near everyone I know over 55 has to deal with something real painful, guess the ones that don't are just lucky. Or never have any fun...

Might be best if you didn't even try for a while. Whatever I did to my shoulder several months ago, I could move it a little, could type and slice veggies at the sink, but not much more than that for a while. Roads were still a winter mess, so wasn't tempted to see if I could ride. I did sit on one, and it wasn't comfortable at all reaching for the throttle, so I'm sure I couldn't have. Two winters in a row I was kinda crippled up, hope that ain't a trend.
