I had a small block in a Vega for 1 weekend ... twisted the frame.
So after I got it tied with roll cage, I stuffed a 396 in it. Tubbed, with 10in wheels/ 50s tires on a 10 bolt posi, 4 speed, glass front end and it was still somewhat streetable

I made the deal on the new one for cash outright ...right around invoice. Then told them I'd bring the '94 down and give her what it was worth. The '94 would have been a nice little cheap car for somebody, but she didn't want to sell it. She said she'd feel bad if there was a problem. Car was very good mechanically, maintained by local garage for her.

Go through there on a fairly regular basis. Traffic from Clarksville to Nashville is usually real crazy, with some folks thinking they are in a GP race. I never enjoy that stretch at all.

Had a 76 Monza.... I'm sure you remember those. After blowing up the 262v8.... I put a boneyard 307 in. With a 4spd and 1850 holley on top, it was a fun little car. Problem was, I spent more time working on it, than driving it.
