Posers' Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VI
Lost a wrist pin clip an the motor ate it up. Tried with a new top end but the DH crank went south on me. 3k in scrap metal now. Offerings to the gods of speed. Only thing salvageable was the casses. All bearings shot. Sent the cases to Kirby for a S&S 124" Timken set up. More $$$ but a 1 year warranty. Just a mild build but still should eat up almost any 107-110 out there.
Better luck ahead for you.
Back from the rideabout. Not too bad on the move, but wasn't nice when stopped. I hadn't ridden the ElectraGlide in 3 weeks or so, and it was nice to get it out for a ride. I do like that bike!
It makes different noises than my Softail. Should I trade it in for a new one?

Im being patient. He emailed me 3 weeks ago saying it would be 2-3 weeks so today I emailed him cause it was 3 weeks. So it will be one more week to do the bottom ent an prolly another week to do the top then ship it out to me. No pressure. Last thing you want to do is bug the guy who's building your motor. Gotta keep the internet chatter down as well. Hes a busy guy too with his drag stuff and family things. I want to make sure its done with the utmost detail. He is building himself an identical motor as well which helps. I just want a dang motor I wont have to open up for a few years.
Very true. Kills me cause it was running awesome before it wasnt.
Thanks for the offer Mark. Now iffins yer chattin with him an it comes up no biggie.
They say they always run best right before they blow.
I blew up a 468 Chevy in my jetboat once. Seemed like all the world was right before it ate a valve at about 5200rpm. She go boom. Very little usable parts.
Dropped in a 502 crate motor, and she was algood.

Crossed fingers n toes but this low compression 124 with mild head work should be the ticket. Some guys are pushin 160hp with these motors but they say about 50k before it will need heads an cyl.
