Dad's war was Whiskey Whiskey Two .. Not many a them left , or the Korean vets either .. Heck Nam vets is gittin' scare come ta think of it ..
Knew a couple jarheads ( one was my ROTC Gunny in high school ) did Korea and them damnable winters they hadda deal with ..

My Dad was in WWII also, walked the front line from France through Belgium into Germany, little bit south of the unit in that Band of Brothers book and movie. Didn't talk about it much, said it was beyond misery. He didn't expect, and didn't want, Korea, but the guys that got called didn't really have a choice, and most of em did a fine job anyway, like it or not. Thank God we still have folks in today's generation that are carrying on that tradition; I know a few and they would have fit in with the WWII and Korean vets just fine.

Was a hot day yesterday and I was outside putting in a bunch of fence posts. Supposed to be hotter today and now I have to build that fence. I feel a sunburn coming on!!
