Yeah we had a high dollar back then. Times have changed though. A lot of things are way over priced up here. Like my new tires were $100.00 more for me to order them through a Canadian retailer as opposed to , say Jake Wilson.

Hey, them Brit's got me last year. I bought something that cost something like, 11 pounds. Cost me like $22 US !! I didn't care, I wanted the package anyway!!

Yeah you have to be careful over there. When we go to Hungary, I always carry a calculator with me. A Canadian dollar is worth something like 203 Hungarian Forint

 

But it isn't free!!!!

We pay (depending on tax bracket) 27% or 47% right off your cheque. Then when you buy anything there is another 13% on top of that!!

So our health care IS NOT FREE!!!

 

I hear ya, and Us dollar is worth something like 5 million paso's in Mexico!!
