Forum wasn't werkin when I tried getting on last nite. Made a pile of sawdust yesterday, cuttin down and cuttin up trees. Made a small, very small, dent in what I wanna cut this year. Thinking I oughta get a bigger chain saw; was watching a guy yesterday with a Stil, literally was taking backhand swipes through branches my little Remington would take a few seconds to get through.

Grandkid was playing with some neighborhood girls (two boys and about 15 girls in the area) and think I made his day when I pulled the 1200 out and gave him a ride in front of them. He wanted to sit in front; found out why when he grabbed the throttle and twisted, slammed him into me and he just laughed. Didn't plan on more than a first gear idle up and down the street, but he enjoyed it, no harm done, I dint let it get over 30. Wish there was some place near here to take him off road on the little yahama for a few miles, he'd love it.

There might be places in Texas where the only place you'll reach in 5 hours is more Texas.

Why do some of what should be simple tasks have to be otherwise? Needed to put new pads in the rear brakes on the Softail. Basturd fought me all the way. The darn caliper piston just did not want to retract. Much cussing later, it is all back snugged up and ready to stop me again. Never did get around to the stupid grass, and ain't gonna now.

Never liked the idea of having to ride 1/2 a day, or more, to get to the "hill country". I'm glad I live in the hill country.
