Still a few hundred DC3's flying. Just read their days are limited with radial engines, leaded gas is being phased out. Still some with turbines, a few of em will probably be flying when they're older than any living human. Find airports in Africa on Google satellite, and chances are you'll see a few DC3's. I thought it was a cool airplane to fly in, too noisy to hear the other passengers, dint hafta worry about a fat gal squishing you against the window, and the guy in front never reclined into your lap. Had more legroom than economy inna jumbo jet. My kinda plane, few hours in one of those dint bother me at all. Want out of a jet before it even takes off.
