Signs of an advanced rider
#401
Here's what I'm seeing in this thread...
There are a few very experienced riders contributing to this thread. These guys have ridden every kind of bike, on every kind of surface and terrain, and have been doing it since they were young. These guys can do things with a motorcycle that others can only wonder about. And they do it all without really thinking about it all that much. And even though they've had some minor disagreements with each other (in this thread), at the end of the day, they're pretty much on the same page.
Then there are the guys who seem to have ridden on the street for quite a few years, and while they can get from point 'A' to point 'B' and back with a 'fair to good' degree of confidence, there really isn't much depth to their riding knowledge or ability in other ares of riding. The upside to these guys, is that they don't claim to have, nor even care about skill in other areas of motorcycle riding. They do what they do and admire those who can do more.
Then we have the "Johnny-come-latey" types, who really don't know anything at all. They have a very elementary and limited understanding of how to ride, and will most likely, never become even an intermediate rider, much less an advanced rider. Of course, this doesn't prevent them from having an opinion, but their opinion is worthless. These are the guys who should probably sell their bikes before they get hurt, or worse.
I'm just sayin'...

why would I need to own a sporty. I had a Volusia. basically same cc's and you can whip it around just the same. plus im not into looking like a monkey doing a football when riding a bike. just because someone never owned a sporty doesn't mean they haven't rode one or a bike very similar to it. anyhow like I said a sporty is completely differnt then a bagger over all. weight and balance is completely different. oh yea and I seen a guy on a sporty duck walking yesterday. I told him he is not a good rider along with the guy on the Goldwing I seen as well. lets read all the point made by someone before we quote the first thing we come too .

This is the thread that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends. . Some people started writing it, not knowing what it was and they'll continue writing it forever just because. . This is the thread that never ends. . . . . (somebody with kids will get it)
You can tell an experienced rider because he can jump a shark!
Get it. . uh, jumped the shark. . .

An Advanced rider always starts a story with "Bro" and ends with "So I Pulled The Trigger on the bling". ;-)
