I have read a few pages of this and while most of it is true some of it just isn't, I am not a big guy who rides an ultra, I let my gf off the bike when I park it alot and there are times that I duck walk it, not often but I do it, I have been riding for 30 years and have hundreds of thousands of miles under my belt, sometimes you have to do that, I ride with some MSF teachers and they are amazing guys who do wonders with their bikes, it takes years of parking lot practice, that's just not my thing......just sayin....
Everywhere ive looked and heard covering your brake with one or two fingers is best . Simple math. Human body takes about 10th of a second to react at best . At 60 mph 10th of a second can be 8 feet difference in stoping from the car your about to rear end . Everyone has their opinions and preferability's . I cant say i cover my brake at all times im getting used to it slowly.

You don't have to cover your brakes all the time, I let the situation dictate when to cover the brakes.
