Are you a rider or a biker?

Hilarious! However, I know quite few so-called posers who resemble the above image, who put serious miles on their bikes. I have a riding pal who's a college grad and has a nice paying job. He has over 115,000 miles on an '05 Road King he purchased new. I know a few high-level management types who actually ride their bikes the 1,500 miles it takes to get to Sturgis from Atlanta. Like me, they're motorcycle enthusiast and are proud to wear their HD branded gear!
On the other hand, I have an acquaintance who builds bikes. I've never seen him wear Harley anything. He puts less miles on his bikes than I do. In his case, all he does is ride around town - never really goes anywhere. But hey, he looks, smells and talks like a biker.

Thing is, you can't just automatically assume that because someone can and/or does spend the money for "Dealer brand" stuff is a poser.
I've a HD brand jacket & boots....and they're worth the extra over no-name Pakistani made crap. Good quality that lasts 4 times as long.
But then, I was offended by the Rolex watch & thick checkbook parts.....mostly because I don't have either.

Harleys are for posers. A real "biker" rides something that he constructed with his own two hands and know-how. Not only that but said "biker" must also chew nails and belch fire, otherwise he is poser'dly.

I've thought about this in the last couple of days (actually for about 2 whole minutes) since reading the OPs BS opener. It seems to me that a "real" biker wouldn't even spend time thinking about the subject. Just Ride!

Just commenting about how people like the OP will bitch about anyone that owns anything with the HD brand on it as a poser.....despite the fact that a "real" biker will only be seen on an HD bike. Which I find a bit ironic.
