Are you a rider or a biker?

I consider myself a simple motorcyclist. A 'rider' doesn't sound right and a 'biker' is starting to sound a little more hardcore / 1%er / MC related. Each to their own. I also like to make it clear from the start I am not a cyclist!

Can't disagree with the article. We all know people like that. Some of them are members here. The only thing left out of the article was my opinion. Which is. I don't care how you ride, or why you ride. Just because you ride or own a motorcycle doesn't necessarily make us brothers, kindred souls, or anything else. If necessary I will point out the differences between us. I like the fact that more people ride now. They keep the prices of parts down. People definitely are more aware of motorcycles. I get treated with less prejudice as a biker now. More money in the business and more representation through biker advocacy groups. Things have changed in fifty years. It is not perfect but it is better.
