Biker - Wannabe Hells Angel, dresses up like it's Halloween, doesn't wear a helmet cause he's cool, needs a lot of other drinkers around him, ride from bar to bar, drives drunk, bike has 10,000 miles after 10 years.
Rider - Rides because he enjoys the ride, stops for food and gas, wears a helmet, not too cool to wear rain gear in the rain, covers a lot of road, trades in his bikes after 60,000 miles and may have two or three bikes in 10 years.
Just an observation over twenty years of riding all types of bikes.

this thread was a great read. a little disjointed, but entertaining and enlightening.

there is a 3pp MC in my town, they are "affiliated"....is that the same as a support club?

I first read the responses here and then the article. I am awaiting delivery of what will probably be stupid loud exhaust but they look so cool I just had to have them. The guy does make a valid point about crotch rockets but the rest of his ramblings sound like so many on the forum. Most people are eager to criticize and happy to jump on the bashing bandwagon when an opportunity comes along.
