I've happily lived without a car for years at a time but I've never been without a bike even though I live in the snow belt and have resorted to a hack and chains. Put me down for "insane".

Yeah, and let me guess; it says, "The Bitch Fell Off" on the back of it, too.

Both....

Reminds me of a start up company I worked for many years ago. Everyone was arguing about titles and what they should put on their business card. I told them I don't care if they put Head Toilet Cleaner on my card, as long as they paid me every week. Titles are only good for feeding ones ego, or to create an image to hide someones insecurity.
Try calling a plumber a "turd chaser" and see what that gets you....

Just a chronic masturbater.

The married guys probably know what I'm talking about.

Rider? Sounds too passive, like someone being taken for a ride.

Motorcyclist? Too snooty sounding.

Cyclist? No, those are those militant bicycle pukes in day-glo spandex who run stop lights and won't ride single file on two-lane roads to let you pass 'cause, "it's MY f***ing road too!"

No, I don't know what I am. Guess I'll have to ride around a little more and try and figure it out...
Just to confuse you even more: I ride my motorcycle AND bicycle, and DGAF what you or anybody thinks about it.

Default old farts!

I enjoyed reading the replies in this post a lot. If statistics bothers you you shouldn't being riding. The DMV publishes the handbook for motorcycles and in the back some have stats on accident probabilities. IE: drinking, time of day, traffic conditions and abilities. When I ride in the cage I see bike rider who just act stupid. Oh, by the way if you drive your car like a jerk, you are most likely a jerk on your scoot.

1. Quote: “It could just be a matter of aging and the body being less durable.” WELL DUH ! ! !
2. The insurance company commissioned this to charge you more ! ! !
3. All riders started when they were 10-12 and have kept the faith, their wits and learned why you do and don't get into accidents (or sometimes on-purpose's).
4. Yes, Harlie's are cool, And whats wring with looking cool anyway !?!?!

Cheers,

.
