Take trip up and down the East Coast instead. There's an exit every 2 miles and you can lose them in traffic especially if you have EZ Pass.

I don't have any experience with MCs, but the only "confrontation"my neighbor had several years ago was on a trip down south. He rides with a police MC and the local MC stopped them and asked that they remove their "colors" while riding thru the other clubs territory. Vests were removed and stowed and they continued on their way no problem.

So, if you are wearing a club insignia with rockers, might be prudent not to, but doubt you would be. Maybe your buddy was aware of a similar situation.

Regardless, ride safe and enjoy the trip.

You have a better chance of being pulled over and harassed by someone wearing a badge than any motorcycle club.

Fact, not bashing.

Just made that exact same trip. Only issue at all was making sure not to take any fire arms into Canada and learning their way of "self service" at fuel pumps.

The roads were fantastic, and we alternated between staying on the coast when it was warm inland, and traveling inland when it was cold and fogged in on the coast.

We took the Ferry from Vancouver Island up to Prince George and then East to Banff and then down through the States.

Bucket list trip indeed.

I'd worry more about texting drivers than a MC club.

I don't know about that particular area and any danger to every day riders. However, there are dangers amongst the m/c clubs. I get LE bulletins that one club has a grudge with another every so often. There have been shootings/murders between the clubs recently here in FL. But I have not heard of any issues between a clubs and non club riders.
