I do support the idea that anyone should be able to wear whatever they want with the law of the United States of America. Don't allow strong arm tactics to dictate what we can or can not do within the law of the land. **** that. That is not what America is about.
Didn't see the post that said you weren't affiliated with any MC, and I have to say I agree with you about people being allowed to wear what they want to wear. But, I also know that reality is just that ...real! From what I know of IO, that club started in the 2000's, way after the guys that established the rules that they are rejecting started theirs.

I think its BS, but I think there are right and wrong ways to handle differences in opinions, and bucking the powers that be can be painful. For instance, I think its bs that I have to pay so much to income tax, but if I stop paying it we both know what will happen!

Things might get real interesting on the East Coast...

A law enforcement safety bulletin was circulating among police departments in the state last Friday. It began: “A ‘kill on sight’ order was issued by Outlaws/Black Pistons for members of IOMC. Be aware as MC traffic may increase due to upcoming funeral. The Iron Order M/C officers I met with wanted to get the message out that they ARE NOT a 1% motorcycle club, nor do they aspire to become one or to be known as one.
If they don't aspire they sure as hell try hard to look like one.

another quote....

The bulletin continued: “In order to reduce the probability for problems, the local chapters of IOMC will not be wearing any colors or identifiers for a while. The date of the funeral for the Black Piston who was killed is unknown, but assumedly it will be early next week. A large contingent of Black Pistons/Outlaws (estimated to be 200+) were seen traveling from Savannah southbound towards Northeast Florida this afternoon (6/27/2014).

Really? I feel slightly smarter, a little more dumb and, well, there's a couple of hours I'll never get back.

There's a 1% MC that is active in the city I reside in. At least the news/papers say so. I've only ever caught a glimpse of them. At least now, if I meet them at the gas pumps, I'll know how to behave.

I expect there are a LOT of io "cuts" in the trash or hidden in the back of closets now. I wonder if Bob Sackett is out?

Seen more than one patch pulled in my life by members of the same Club.
Usually because someone really ****ed up & it's that Club's business.
Not usually done in public, though.

Ya, some have, some haven't, hard to tell on the internet.

Not so sure "most" of us are playing at anything, just a few vocal wanna be's.
I'd think most of us just wanna ride and have fun.

imho
