Two categories:

A:
Do you bring your bike into the house to do rebuilds over the winter.
Do you have peice of crap car that is only used when the bike isnt running.
Do you get drunk and get into altercations...with friends or foes.
Do you sleep on the ground next to you bike when the parties done.

B:
Do you park your bike in a nice garage with sealed floors...next to the new Charger.
Do you let the Harley shop change your oil.
Do you make it a point to never drink while riding.
Are your riding friends all recovered alcoholics.

Ive done everything in the first list.....never done anything in the second list.

But....thats when I was young and crazy...now I just ride....and behave.

Ever wake up at that party and not remember how you got there or who the gal is your sleeping with ?
Ever quit a job because it got in the way of riding ?
Ever told the old lady to can it your riding instead of honey-do's
Ever told the little woman she can't go on this weekends roadtrip ?
Ever pulled into a lonely field or off the beaten path secluded spot put up the tent & started the camp fire just because you could ?
Ever done a 2000 plus mile rode trip repeatedly without a windshield , the stereo and half the house along with you ?
Ever had to actually fix your bike on the side of the road without knowing where a dealer is when your 700 miles from home in the middle of a road trip ?
Ever told a friend to kick your *** if he see's you trailering a bike anywhere that isn't broken ?
Ever consider the bike your friend ?

Ha.....I knew many could add to this list.....I kept it short. I thought of several more later.

Ever come home from a party ...riding in the pouring rain....in the dark....drive on the sidewalk to get to Hardies for food.....lay down the bike in the parking lot...and stay your feet.

Just a note...the parking lot was just black topped and was still slippery and oily....so it wasnt all my fault!

I ride my bike daily, I bought it used and rebuilt it the way I wanted it to be and look. I do all the work on it myself.

that is all I care about. It is mine, I know ever square inch of it and I don't care about anyone else.

Of the things that are important to me it doesn't register. I am a husband, a brother, a son an uncle, a friend and a boss. As long as I do all of that to the best of my ability I am ok with everything else. A man that limits himself to the title "biker" means nothing to me doesn't even register.
