I just checked out the SS website out of curiosity cause I never heard of them.
I don't get it. A bunch of riders who ride alone yet want the world to know there alone by wearing a patch that say's I'm all alone.
It's like someone who wears an eye patch but can see fine. Someone with breast implants but never exposes any cleavage. Someone with a fast bike but is afraid to speed.
Wierd.

Oh, oh, oh, me, Mr. Cotter! Mr. Cotter!

He said, "Leave me alone! I paid my club dues!"

Default Well: that's a deep subject!

If one SSLB falls in the forest and no one's there to hear it, does he make a noise?

1. I dig that poster, Gazzolodi.
2. I've learned a new way to boost my post count by putting every sentence in a different post.
3. I think I posted this earlier, but just in case...If a club of "lone bikers" has a run and nobody shows up, is it a success? At a run, how far apart do they have to stay from each other so that people don't mistake them for a non-lone biker? Are they required to have no numbers stored in their cellphone?

well if he does, he's automatically out of the club.

no one wants a silent skull who makes noise when he falls down.

duh.

Ok...I'm apparently really f-ing bored today. Stuck out of state on business wishing I was riding. So I'm on sslb website cause I really needed a laugh, when I came across this post on their website:

"Just want to wish all the Silent Skulls and happy holiday period. I want to gain membership as soon as I can. Just waiting to build up some money."
Ride hard, Die free!!
Gypsy

Proof that there's a sucker born every minute. Poor dumb bastard.

Well, unless you're a pirate. Seems they did that so that if they had to go below decks they'd move the patch from the eye that was covered to to eye that was uncovered. The previously covered eye would already be adjusted to darkness having been covered up and now the sailor could see below decks without having to wait the 20 minutes or so for it to adjust. Really helped when boarding other ships.

Plus I'm sure it was a serious intimidation factor to merchant crews.

Unlike a "full patch" SSLB....

So, if I don't belong to a "traditional" club (and that's in quotes because the SSLB claim that's what they are, a "non-traditional" organization), ride mostly for the sake of riding and do so alone 99% of the time but do occasionally go on ride and like to ride with my friends when the opportunity strikes but don't have the SSLB patch what really makes me different from a SSLB rider? Seriously. If one of these SSLB posters can answer that without sounding like an idiot I'd be amazed.

"nothing" with the patch is just them outwardly admitting to being an sslb and part of that club. But you have to be able to work on your own bike.
