Hows the ride from AZ to CA
#21
I agree with road toad, phoenix traffic may be busy, then its basically a straight line to riverside. The wind through palm springs can be brutal sometimes. Gas up in Chandler, quartzite, and north palm springs. I go to riverside a lot. When are you going?

Let me tell you first hand i live here in lake Havasu today was an easy 110 degrees. i rode home from my shop to my house today and it's ****ing hot.Nothing cool about it.This weekend we are expecting 126 degrees if you are not used to this heat either ride in the wee hrs or get a trailer and tow it back to California where you will have some nice weather cause this AZ weather aint no joke if you are not used to it.
What's ur peak hours for heat ..... You think early 4/5am would be a good start to beat the heat ????... My chick is following me in her car that we are driving out in

Put your ego aside and have it trailered. It's going be extremely hot this
weekend. Not good for the bike or you to ride in that heat. A friend here rode that route when it was about 117°....said he'd never do it again.

Yeah I canceled my ride to San Diego this weekend because of the extreme heat warning. Its supposed to be 117° on Friday and 118° on Saturday. I can handle that for an hour or 2 but not the whole ride. I wasn't going to be able to leave until 11:30am Friday which would've put me running in 110+ temps for 80% of the trip. Decided to back out.
