Throw over/permanent bags?

That Ghost bracket setup looks pretty clean.
I've got the HD detachable setup, was on the bike when I got it. Works great for me since I have a detachable sissy bar and the detachable saddlebags.
Don't you already have HD detachable mounts on your bike Al? I thought I remembered seeing a detachable sissy bar in your shop.

Ya I do, I suppose that's gonna screw up the ghost mounts???
Hollowpoint, they look good to.
Having problems with which mounts fit what it appears, more web time I guess.
Thanks all.

I like the look of the ghost style mount when the bags are not on, but thinking maybe I may not remove them as much as I think.
Thanks.

Just seen the Iron man bags are almost a grand, bit more than I care to spend..

You can mix and match QD mounts
My (admittedly limited) experience is that you can use HD Quick Detach hardware with aftermarket stuff. I have the HD QD sissy bar and then I have leather saddlebags with Easy Brackets.
Your fender mount bolts simply go through the middle of each mounting "slug." You just need to make sure your bolts are long enough. Ace Hardware is my go-to place.
The downside, as others have mentioned, is that the bags do stick out a bit from the fender. However, it really hasn't bothered me too much and the bags really don't ever come off except for cleaning.

I used throw overs for years before I had hard bags. Can take them into your motel or tent, and off when you don't need them. The under the seat laced style i had were cut off and stolen with all my gear in them right in front of my apartment building. Either way, check these guys out http://www.packitsaddlebags.com/
