I rode a pan with suicide shifter for years. swore never again but..... Since I saw this Friday I have been thinking of putting one on one of my shovels just for grins.
I di like having both hands on the bars though.

I just don't get it. I have ridden bikes with tank shifters and foot clutches...It was fun but I wouldn't want to do it every day...Why do this on a newer bike? There is no advantage to it that I can see. Goes right along with spring seats or struts on suspension bikes...I just don't get it...Maybe I am getting old...

Adding suicide shift to bike is just that...got enough going on already w/braking, clutching, shifting & watching out for cages. Incorporating another element into the mix would take the fun out of riding. For anyone who runs one - good for you...not for me.

I see that the LABRIOLA kit is $600 for the hand job. Giggity. You get to prepay and wait 9 weeks. But it is the best one out there. Supposedly!

There's actually a cat who comes into the bar I help out at who has no left floorboard, shifter, or any foot controls due to a left leg that parted ways due to an errant driver years ago (going by the marks on the scoot, it's probably that very bike). He's ridden it up here from Florida a few times, throws the pegleg (his words) and crutches in the sidecar (when he comes to bar he leaves the leg at home, as "booze makes it turn rubbery"). If he says it's OK, I'll post pics up of the bike. It's been my inspiration to get back on after getting told I should give it up...

Tank shifter i should've added. The jockey is on the shelf and the tank arms are user specified iirc. That's the hold up
