Wuz really an international in disguise....think Ford an International had a parting of the wayz....and that 7.3 wouldn't meet with new emission standardz

You are correct. The 6.8 is all Ford.

But Dodge doesnt seem to want to re invent the wheel by releasing the cummins for a Dodge built motor. I luv Cummins!!

Many years ago one of my partners at work who had a long commute goes out and spends 35k on a ford diesel pickup. Everybody questioned his sanity untill he sat down with a calculator and showed that it actually got better mileage and was cheaper to own in the long run when you calculated the much better resale. Well he's still driving it with over 300k miles. It's rusting away but still a strong runner.

Last super-duty service truck I had, before we went to Freightliners, wuz a 7.3...Truck wuz overweight an I often towed a 10,000lb load-bank trailer...Too much for that rig in these hillz.

Yep. My last truck was a 550. Before that was my favorite 1988 C-60 wit an underpowered Detroit and an Eaton 6 speed. Really liked that truck.
