So, I get the head off the MG, and sure enough the head gasket called the ghost between the two middle cylinders. I just happened to have a full gasket kit sitting ina drawer, so's I start to put it all back together. Ooops, see a small crack in the bottom front of the exhaust manifold. Turn it over and it's a big crack in the back. Rats! The search is on for a replacement. The front crack looks old, the one in the rear looks new. Looks as though I was a bozo at one time or another!

It took me 1 1/2 hours to get the two freakin' nuts (and studs) out of the underside of the intake/exhaust manifolds. My knuckles and fingers are beat to crap! Those Brits are sure nutty when it comes to their cars.

I'll bring the seasonings to make it when we head up to CO. I can buy the rest when we're there. Just remind me...
