Softy that motor should be so understressed at normal speeds it should last a long time! My old 95 build was driven normally 99 percent of the time but never failed me when the odd Nipponese V-twin challenged me.
You know you have to wonder how many of the bikes that challenge you are actually built bigger than a stage one. I'd wager that although it seems everyone on the internet is a Stage 10 or above the actual percent of strokers I've run across (even in Detroit) is not huge at all. I believe it is because the buy in price of the Harley fraternity is steep to begin with. It also seems that the number of gearheads who can wrench on their own bikes is shrinking as well. The younger gen seem less likely to me to own a garage full of tools.
