Mornin, anyone left on here. Even if the cage is entombed in white chit, it's a wunnerful day - I can eat eggs & sausage, and best of all, I'm back on coffee! Around 12 hours sleep in 24 probly dint hurt, neither.

How did the Pink Floyd dudes git so old?

Lucas electrics... hadda couple Triumphs - the cars - know about that. Come with Brit gremlins with a nasty sense a humor...

KR, looks like you did more wo... um, effort, in one day than I have the last couple years. Although I moved probly a couple tons of snow off the driveway last week. Was that heavy wet stuf that a square foot of onna shovel is enuf to take out yer back. That's why I used the blower, ain't dumb. How do I know it can take yer back out? Well, guess I was kinda dumb once... or twice.

I been reading horror story's on my car........this ****** is heading straight too the dealer for a trade in. I'll get 1500.00 an call it a 400 dollar loss. but 1500.00 towards another more reliable car. It's a shame too cuz the sts sevelle is a sweet looking car, just aint worth it. Designed an built by a buncha *** ups, it seems.
I wasn't gonna say nuttin, since you already got it, but I've heard a lot of not so good about Northstar engines, especially if you got one with an aluminum block. Read that GM had so much trouble with the heads they came up with a gadget to measure thread stretch when they put the heads on, more accurate than measuring torque. So if the heads ever come off, of course they're going back on with torque wrenches - ain't many folks got one a them thread stretch measuring gizmos.

If I could have any GM car, it'd be the last rear drive Impala SS; GM ain't built nuttin since that four 6'4" dudes could fit in comfortably. The last Cadillac I was in (an 05, I think), rode harsher and dint have as much legroom as my minivan.

They are beautiful cars and I believe they are still the height of American luxury. But damn. When something goes wrong, it really goes wrong.

Would I buy a new one? If I ever made that kind of money, yea. But I would never in my life buy a used one.

And you also have to consider this problem is not limited to Caddies. Most luxury cars today have the same problems. I had a Volvo in here, needed a software update from the dealer, a new throttle body, new valve body and a new cat. It was going to cost the girl more to get it fixed than what she paid for it and she hadnt even made the first payment on it.

Except Lexus. They're just Toyotas with a gold badge on it.
