The industry standard for come backs (the amount of cars that come back for warranty work) is 1 in 5. Dave's rate is more like 1 in 50. He would tell you its less than that.
I have a strong suspicion that Art tapped me for the job because I can handle Dave. Not many people can deal with his Diva attitude, even less can smack him back to reality.
Even so, I'm getting the jitters. Auto repair is very much a male dominated industry. I only hope my center's sales won't suffer because the men in this town don't take kindly to a woman telling them what's wrong with their car.
Softie....was texting with my brother and answered your question with his answer.....made no sense..
Correct answer: No, a Heritage.....

As much as I hate to admit it, Dave is one of the best transmission guys I've ever met.

Just hang in there Kristy. My OL was a cable repair person and cable splicer for 35 years as well as a supervisor. After she switched to fiber optics I never heard anything about her being "Just a girl". She did what she had to do to raise her son and didn't let anybody or anything get in her way. BTW the asshats that hired in with us were still asshats when we retired. It's just that nobody listened to them anymore. They no longer had credibility!

Mebbe it won't feel as much like riding in a herd of 4 wheel elephants. I'm ready for it...
Can already beat that...
Might be hard to believe, but this is a more comfortable ride than the Sporties, and runs pretty smooth at 65, which the 883 sure don't. Haven't been 10 miles from home on it yet, though, but gets 4-5 times better mileage on those 2-3 mile shopping errands than the van. Sporties got no way to carry groceries. Ain't one a them itty bitty scoots - this one's longer than the Harleys.

Did it hurt?
Tachs are good for more than keeping the engine from over revving, can warn you sumptin ain't quite right, and once I used the tach for a speedometer for a few months cause I procrastinated on replacing the busted speedo cable. When it suddenly snaps up to 11,000rpm in the rain, you know you're hydroplaning, too. Although the sideways slide kinda gave it away, also.

Go dead - like in engine quits, or no lectricity at all, lights and all quit? Everything quits, ain't a puter problem; on a Ford, first guess would be bad ground, then there's some solenoids, depending on the model, and possibly a loose connection in the main fuse block. Just the engine quits, oughta be a code you could read. I've even had a car die because the battery had an internal short, but that's usually pretty final the first time. Daughter had an Escort in college, heater blower quit, spent a couple hour on that damned thing and when I found the problem, was a two minute fix. Blower resistor pack; musta been a busted wire, would test ok sometimes; first thing I tested, and it tested good the first time, cudda had the job done in ten minutes if that damned thing had just been bad all the time.
