That sure sucks about your granddaughter. I just don't know what to say about things like this. That article says she can still have a mostly normal life, guess all we can hope for now is that that's true. Some really good stuff coming out of the medical community lately, always hope there'll be a way to fix it someday.

I'd have never guessed Minnesota would be the third happiest state. Bit of a harsh place to live. Colorado being second doesn't surprise me. I spent a few years in southern states, doesn't surprise me to see them on the bottom. Poverty doesn't make for a fun time, or healthy, and I saw plenty of that down there.

Running out of friends in Georgia, just got word today another one is gone. Nam vet, body shop mechanic, scooter rider, and restored old tractors. A year younger than me. Someone crossed the line and got him head on; he was driving a little Ford Ranger. Had a nice wife, good looking daughter carrying a grandkid he'll never get to see. One of the worst things about living long, all those folks you leave behind. Ain't got a lot of friends left my age, we sure are dying off fast. Thought folks were supposed to be living longer, but we don't seem to be.

thanks. Probably lots of folks I could be friends with, it's the meetin them that's the problem. Kind of like my cousins, spread from Oregon to Georgia, haven't seen most of them in over 20 years.

 

Got a few buds that I dont see for a year or two but when we get together its like right back were we left off. Im more of a loaner.

 

Back from tacos. Victor the owner of the restaurant rode his Ironhorse in tonight to show me. Pretty sweet bike with a flame job and 107" in it. He wanted me to take it out for a spin but I declined. I couldn't afford to fix the thing if I threw it down the road.
