I wonder why the GF likes travel shows sumtimes, we'll be watching sumptin about China or Italy or Switzerland, and she'll say sumptin like, that store to the left had the best chocolates, or, they're not showing near all the statues in that plaza in Beijing. Never met anyone that lived in so many different countries; visited dozens more, even little outta the way places like Tibet.

some of that old stuff was sure built heavy. Oldest thing I w*rked on was a smallish railroad switching engine that was built with a steam engine. By the time I hadda fix it, someone had put a big gas engine in it, steering, and wheels with big drum brakes in the rear. That was a heck of a lot of w*rk to convert, mebbe it was by an outfit that hadda bunch of parts laying around & some mechs that weren't busy all the time. Thing weighed several tons, would pull a 727 easy. (those ads showing pickup trucks pulling jet liners - no way, they ain't got near enough traction)
