what style is this called?
Ive been a big fan of mickeys' bike in hd and the Marlboro man, but was wondering what style would describe it if i was talking to someone? Its not a bobber or chopper, or a thug bike, not a tourer, so i thought is this just a barhopper?

It's a modified FXR turned into a "hardtail" by replacing the rear struts with solid bars, then racking out the front end but not stretching the neck or backbone at all.
The motor is a beefed up FXR motor, with an S&S carb.
Apparently, he had the bike built for himself, shortly before he was approached for the movie, and then suggested they use his bike for it.
But then they had problem shooting some of the slower-speed scenes because he'd beefed the motor up so much it'd stall trying to run 30mph at "normal" RPMs, so they had to build another FXR to look just like it but with a purely stock motor.
As far what "style" of chopper it'd fall into? Pro-Street, maybe?

I guess you could call it a Pro street style bobber. Who knows what they were thinking with the rigid mount swing arm. Let me help with some screenshot pics I have in my Ipad.

they called them bikes pro street. they were popular just before softails caught on. the hardtail struts were to get it as low as possible. the idea was it was all about speed.. kind of like the drag cars with all the interior and creature comforts ripped out for weight.
