I really DGAS what people wear, but I do know that jeans are not much better than shorts if you go down. Rash is still coming, except now you will have folks pulling denim out of the RR....
As far as flip flops, I don't even wear that **** at home....
I have been riding for over 20 years. I can remember when I first started riding older riders telling me there are 2 types of riders, " Those that have been down and those who will go down." Well I'm one of the riders who have been down. Their point being to wear protective gear. I have always worn boots, long pants and a jacket. It just makes sense to me. I see way to many riders wearing shorts, flip flops or sandles. A minor accident can go from a brush yourself off and continue on your way to a big deal, trip to the hospital cause your legs are road rashed, burnt from the hot engine parts and f@cked up feet due to open toed shoes. Just my opinion. Whats yours?
Let the meat donors do their thing. You'll most likely survive again. Been down 3 times in high speed wrecks, pronounced dead in one of 'em...........................................Leat hers and helmet made the difference between living and not living. Safety gear is easy to put on,having the flesh ripped off your body..........not so easy.47 years riding, seen a few dead ones in t-shirts and tennies, with ball cap on backwards. If you haven't been down, you haven't been riding.
I agree with Rubberfrog. Shorts and flipflops, I couldnt care less. But Never ever ride without a condom. There are things out there that are far worse than leg burns and road rash.
I knew a guy that were a condom every time...religiously...
he got hit by a bus.

Oh, I didn't mean while having sex. I meant when I ride. I just go ahead and put on a condom when I put on the rest of my Pirate suit for a weekly 4.2 mi. ride to Starbucks. You just never know these days. HaHa!
I'm not real sure what all the concern is about a 4 hr erection these days, but I try to play by the rules and make it home in time.
