I don't get it myself. I just shake my head when I see someone riding in shorts. It's their life though so I mind my own business. I will give them a look and shake my head if they complain to me about burning a leg on the engine or exhaust while riding in shorts.

C'mon, guys, if we keep protecting everyone then evolution will never have a chance to thin out the herd. How are we going to be any better twenty generations from now if we keep letting the stupid ones live?

I agree with Rubberfrog. Shorts and flipflops, I couldnt care less. But Never ever ride without a condom. There are things out there that are far worse than leg burns and road rash.

I see way to many riders wearing shorts, flip flops or sandles. A minor accident can go from a brush yourself off and continue on your way to a big deal, trip to the hospital cause your legs are road rashed, burnt from the hot engine parts and f@cked up feet due to open toed shoes. Just my opinion. Whats yours?
My start was over 50 yrs ago and heard the same thing, also believe as you do because of experience.Road rash is a horrible thing to live with.
The way I see it is experience is the best teacher,as with most of us wear what you want hopefully your lessons won't be too painful.

Exactly. What's next? Is the gubmint going to legislate what you have to wear to ride? Don't give 'em any ideas....
