The only way to truly gain the respect of the old and grizzled is to do the same **** and live through it. Old age and treachery with overcome youth and skill every time. Sorry kids.

Went on vacation for 2 weeks, and this thread is STILL going.

I can't believe it.

Just live your life by your own rules. Do what you know is right, and treat others how you like to be treated. Earn your pay, pay your debts.....respect will come if it is warranted.

Biker #1 has been riding 6 years.
Biker #2 has just started riding.

Biker #2 has been riding 1/6 as long as biker #1.

3 years go by.

Biker #1 has been riding 9 years
Biker #2 has been riding 3 years.

Biker #2 has now been riding 1/3 as long as Biker #1

3 more years go by.

Biker #1 has been riding 12 years
Biker #2 has been riding 6 years.

Biker #2 has now been riding 1/2 as long as biker #1

Biker #2 is clearly gaining on Biker #1. How long before they've both been riding the same amount of years?

yeah, I've got too much time on my hands today.

Ride and enjoy, treat as you find. Show respect to those that warrant it.

Besides us FOGS are always going to resent the new younger riders, why? Because of your youth! You don't appreciate it until it's gone.
