I guess that's the proof people look for in everything- there's an old saying that says, "What you say means nothing, what you do speaks volumes"

It's pretty irrelevant, being that I cannot stand being cold, I will never be accepted as a real biker anyway. However, I have made it this many years without the need for somebody else's approval, I think I will be ok with whatever somebody I don't know on a forum thinks of me.

We got a couple clear winners on the Mud quiz and few more almosts , settles that issue pretty clearly with few suspects I already knew .

Like any other skilled or specialized endeavor in life you gain respect of your peers and those around doing the same thing by experience & time in and your level of expertise at whatever it is you're doing . You aren't getting any on the bike , may want to take a hard look at yourself , that's where it all starts & ends .

Anyone who whines they don't get any respect just shows the reason they don't get any respect.

I find that the old salty guys may have the personality of a honey badger, but they would be the first ones to stop if you are stuck on the side of the road, give the shirts off their backs, or go out of their way to help you out.

I have much respect for old bikers. Getting old isn't for the weak. And some of them have crazy "old man strength". I shut up, listen and learn. Once I know everything there is to know on my bike, then I pass the knowledge to the next guy.

The OP should watch the movie, Gran Torino. Then it will all make sense to him.

When I asked my dad how I would know when I became a man, he replied, "You know your a man when you quit trying to prove you're a man." I think the same thing applies to bikers.

You will always be a newbie p*#sy to someone, so why GAF about it. There is a theory that the less people ya **** off the less beatins ya get. This is the way most folks think. My thinking is the less the pinheads **** ya off, the less beatins ya have to give. You can call it respect or ya can call it fear, but you'll have it when the pinheads learn not to **** ya off.

OR

Ya can pound on the keyboard and demand it.

It's your life - live it.

There is a reason they call me Boozer.
