HAMC has been at front of "Frisco" style since waaaaay back.
1/4 fairings have been used on FXR "club bikes" for 20+ years. Infact, I had one on my FXRS back in '92-'94.
'60s

'70-'80s

'80-'90s

got to love them FXR's

I'm not claiming to be outlaw or even a true die-hard biker, but it often feels like there's nothing in between poser or 1%er with you people. I think that's the point I generally try to make. How am I a poser when I own a motorcycle that I ride everyday? What is "poser" about that? I ride a bike with a fairing to block the wind, but I don't want a giant windshield. I wanted higher bars but I don't like the fairing with apes and the buckhorn turnouts of most apes, so I got T-bars. I got black because it was $1000 cheaper. I love a good chromed out bar hopper as much as the next guy, this is what fits me best. Labels are lame, ride your **** and ride it hard.

But THEIR "outlaw" bikes are because they RIDE HARD... YAY for you ... Get a sportier bike already..

If you ride so hard then Whats The real reason you wanted a Harley and "Outlaw" style?

Fark me what's the go with the wannabe club members? Listen mate. Why the **** do you wanna know what an outlaw dyna looks like? So you can run out and buy all the **** you think'll make you look hard? Why dont you jump on google images. Riding and bike building is about being an individual. I'll tell you right now for a fact that the club does not get together and go "alright ****s, this is how we are going to make all our bikes look so that we can be aaaall the same". It's about building your bike, that you like the look of and you like to ride. Not building it because someone else thinks you look tough on it. Wake up big fella. An outlaw style dyna does not exist, because everyone has their own style. yeah some guys like the same styles and they hang out together because they have alot in common. But don't put bullshit threads like this up.

I don't care what you guys ride,or how you ride. I don't care what you think a "Real biker" is or weather or not you think your an "outlaw". Good for you if you do.
I had three years in a row where I ran 30K a season-yeah....that's right (Here in Minnesota!) I have had back surgery and don't put on nearly the miles I used to. Next year I will be using a trailer to take the bike to Sturgis.
I have been around "Outlaws" my whole life (Family and Clubs)and have also ridden Hondas at times (As well as Moto Guzzi's,Yamaha's and others). I am covered in tattoos (First one in 1984) and do what I think is right-not the law and certainly not others.
I have had a few bikes that were completely blacked out in the last twenty years. Doing another one now.
Blow hards are blow hards-doesn't matter what you ride or who you ride with.Self righteous is self righteous.I don't pay anyone's rent and nobody pays mine. I make no apologies.
Ride what you want to ride, get tattooed or not, ride hard,be a weekend warrior, join a club or become a HOG member. BE who you want to be and don't worry about what others think. Be true to who you are.
Everyone has their own concept of what an "outlaw" is. No sense arguing about it.
I would love to rant more but I think I am going for a ride and going to grab a cup of coffee!

Amen to that bro - too many folks waste too much precious breath being critical of others. F**k what others think - as you say do your own thing and most importantly enjoy each day for what it is - as in the great scheme of things we aren't on this earth for long enough for this cr*p!!!

I think you missed the point somewhat.
SOA introduced "outlaw style" to the masses that didn't know that it existed for last 20+ years.
Actually, this style is also known around the world as "sport touring". We just adopted it to H-D.
To me, its all about a bike that can do it all. Its quick and light to be ridden hard around corners, to jump off curbs and split lanes of traffic while still be able to do 700 mile days and carry everything I need for few days on the road.
Small fairing takes the wind off my chest and flows it up and around my FF helmet. Soft bags are unobtrusive, yet expand enough for my junk. Whaterproof dufel bag carries my tent, sleeping bag, and few basic camping do-dads. Tank bag is for my tooff brush, condoms and the .40 ...
I'm not an "outlaw" nor do I want to be in a club. I don't ride a bike to impress friends, neighbors or to pick up chicks. I'm not trying the frighten anyone with my full sleaves, infact, I was facinated with tattoo, body modification and tribal coltures long before I got into street bikes.

I get a kick out of new harley owners that get a bike to impress instead of enjoy. They dress up to immulate something they don't understand or even try to learn about. Insted they just get all butt-hurt when they are not accepted and come up with these pissy threads.
This is not a rant, btw. Its just how I see it.
